See a.o. Can you tell a LanguageQuest when you see one? Design criteria for TalenQuests.
In this paper we describe the theoretical framework for the design rubric developed in the 'TalenQuest' project. This Dutch project aims to customize the WebQuest concept for foreign language learning and teaching. The assessment instrument with its essential features for effective LanguageQuest design is presented. The relevant concepts and principles from second language acquisition theory and cognitive psychology on which it is based are described.

As a follow-up of the 2006 Workshop on LanguageQuest, organised by the TalenQuest project at the European Centre for Modern Languages, the animators and participants established the LQuest Network.

To support this network of language professionals interested in the application, development and dissemination of the LanguageQuest concept the website 'LQuest Net' has been made available.

Membership is open to anyone interested in task-based approaches to language learning and teaching with the help of Internet resources.
